  • Look at these boys. Look at them! They are growing up so quickly, it’s just killing me. Porter. Age 6. 5K (all day kindergarten). Hasn’t cut his hair since…I don’t remember. He refuses to cut it until at least the day before the last day of school (his words). Although, if he doesn’t cut it, I won’t mind. I think it’s adorable. He has green eyes, potatoes in his ears, loves riding his bike and has yet to lose a tooth. He’s a lefty and loves pizza. And, he learned to read this year. It’s magical. Jack. Age 5. (As […]

  • No? Mine either….at least, not quite like this anymore. Now it looks….Well, okay, it looks about the same. I’m almost out from under all of it. You are going to be shocked at the transformations. Shocked I tell ya. To tide you over, take a look at this cutie-patootie that is trouble in the making. See that leopard print thing behind him? Umm, yeah. So he picked it up at St. Vinny’s yesterday and wouldn’t let it go. It’s a rabbit. That’s right. Real rabbit. He held on to it so tight I couldn’t get it out of his hands. […]

  • Gus is 15 months old on the 29th. This week he started walking. For the last few weeks he’s been on the verge. Taking a few steps here and there. Moving about and realizing he can carry things in his hands, and put things in his mouth while standing up tall.  He LOVES it. Seriously. I’ve never seen a kid giggle so much over walking. And of course the older boys love it and clap for him and encourage him like crazy. It is the best ting to watch. Okay, I know these aren’t the best photos, but come on, […]

  • So, most of the neighborhood kids have had a lemonade stand. Well, the boys had had enough. They were ready. They wanted to do one too. Nevermind that they can’t read. Or add. Or pour something for themselves. And they often get shy around strangers….Nevermind those facts. Neveryoumind. They asked me to make them cookies to sell too.  They drank and ate their profit.  But, they made a whole dollar.  They were so proud. Don’t they look proud?   I even made them a sign. They were so excited! But then, because it was so hot, we went inside to […]

  • Happy Birthday Tiny G. Gus turned one on May 29th. We had a big party. You can read about it here. I know you want to. I thought I would do a year of pictures. Just one for each month. Nothing fancy, just real life photos. With a little commentary thrown in. There’s something about his eyes….Do you see it? It’s like you can see right into the depths of his soul. newborn – he had gas. The only reason for his smile. And look at all that hair! one month – still hair. He fell over the second I […]
