• I just love this Studebaker. We saw it a few weeks ago when we went on a self guided barn hunt around Fargo/Detroit Lakes. I REALLY, REALLY wanted it and wanted Tom to pull over so we could see how much it was…but we didn’t because really, what would we do with it?! BUT, then. My Dad’s neighbor showed up with it! He restores old cars and picked it up. I am seriously jealous. Seriously. Tom sent it to my Father-In-Law (Hi Margie and Terry!) and apparently they had one way back when and they want it! Maybe I can […]

  • I’m at 35 weeks pregnant…. Just thought I would share. Some have wondered what this crazy belly looks like, so I thought it was high time to post some pictures. I know that in a few months…years….we will look back on this time of crazy transition and laugh and laugh…we will won’t we?! So here goes. I’ve been trying to work out a few times a week. But, it seems to be getting harder and harder this time around. This is at our old house. Isn’t hubby hot?! And look at those crazy dirty tan feet! Hooray for pregnancy hair! […]

  • 1. It was our anniversary on the 11th. We’ve been married for 10 years! It’s hard to believe. It’s been a great 10 years and is only getting better. I love you babe. 2. We got an anniversary/mother’s day/father’s day present! I love it! 3. We decided to take a little vacay this past weekend in honor of our anniversary. No scratch that. We went to Minneapolis and drove around until our rear ends were numb. Our mission was to find a neighborhood/city that feels just like the one we’re currently in. We drove for 3 days checking out tons […]

  • I love barn sales. And good garage sales. I have found a couple the last few days after a long dry spell. Today, I’m going to show you a couple things I found at some sales! Not to make you jealous, but to prove that garage sales aren’t bad and that barn sales rock. I got this rug at a garage sale at a lake house. It was $20. I bought it because I’ve been wanting an oval one to put in our living room for a long time, but with the move, I wasn’t willing to spend hundreds on […]

  • Today I thought I would show you….What’s in my bag….. The Instagram challenge for today was to show what was in your purse….so here goes. Kinda like the US Magazine blurb on a famous person, except I don’t have anything fancy or expensive in my purse and they probably don’t carry around the things that are in mine. 1. Keys. To my mini-van……ugh. 2. Tiny screw drivers because you never know when you will have to replace the batteries on a given toy or Nintendo and they all have those tiny screws….. 3. Mintz. Who knows. I don’t have bad […]

  • Thank you! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for letting me know you are still here. It sure does help to know that there are people still reading and my words aren’t just going out into the abyss. Seriously. Thank you. We had a pretty normal weekend, except for the fact that Porter decided he wanted to go play with his friends instead of hang out with us! That’s a first! I was sad. I made some pompom last week. I need to make a few more….I love them. They are sooo easy to make. I’ll show you […]

  • I’m not one to draw attention to my birthday, awww…who am I kidding….it was my birthday today! Hooray for ME! I’m 35 today. 3.5. THIRTY-FIVE. 30-5. My Dad is visiting for the weekend, so we’re getting spoiled rotten. It’s been fab. We had a big bad storm last night and the boys were in our bed at 4. Awesome. We had pizza from the Farmer’s Market for breakfast (my absolute favorite Saturday morning activity), then the boys took me to wander around Anthropologie. Got a new to me road bike and this amazing sweater from Laundromat Clothing. I love it! […]

  • It’s been busy. Something had to take a back seat. The boys have been in summer school and that has taken up a crapload of time! Then my Uncle Bob, my Mom’s brother died in a very scary car accident and I traveled to North Dakota for the funeral. It was a very sad situation, but I am so happy that I went. It was great to see so many wonderful family members and to see how many people loved and admired him. We also had the chance to cry at my mom’s burial site, and that’s always a little […]

  • I like primitive pieces. I don’t generally paint them, maybe because I just haven’t found them to paint, but I found a couple a few weeks ago. They came from a garage sale. And coincindentally I knew the person that was selling them, but didn’t know I knew the person! Lost you yet? I was recognized at a garage sale last week! How fun is that?! It made me totally embarrassed and I got all flustered and red in the face, and my words came out sounding like a crazy fool, I’m pretty sure. So, Pam, I’m sorry I sounded […]

  • It’s the Ides of March. Thank you to my Latin teachers in high school (4 years, thankyouverymuch) for helping me remember this day forever. Oh, guilt. I knew a little whining and guilt would bring you out! Don’t be shy! I eventually get back to you. I’m a friendly sort of gal, I think! Don’t worry about asking dumb questions or making dumb comments….I do it every.single.day. It’s true. Sometimes I want to knock my head against a wall for embarrassing myself so often…. So, I got a few more responses with some more questions, so I thought I would […]
