Good Morning!

I thought that while our house is getting ready to be listed and was clean and organized it would be nice to get pictures of every room.

And because I’m a little OCD (just a little) I have to post the pictures in the order of the room flow from the front door. So here goes:

This is from the entrance. The stairs are holding up great!

Looking to the left you see a hallway to the garage door a closet and the laundry room:

When you look to the right of the entrance you see this room:

This is what I call our reading room. If you remember it’s been a carpeted living room, a dining room and a transitional room. This has been the best set up for this room so far. See the red striped chair by the chalkboard?! I splurged. Pier 1. It was on sale though! And I love it!

As you walk through this room you get to the kitchen:

We have an intruder in the photos! If you remember this room used to have a dresser as an island and then an antique butcher block as an island. I miss it. It is a hard adjustment to go without! But, it definitely looks bigger!

Turning to the left is the dinnette.

This of course is the most used area of our home!

Then this room:

Who takes a photo of a bathroom with the toilet seat up and a plunger next to it?! Seriously. I’m a freak.

The family room is in the back of the house. I love this room. It’s come a long way.

Through the entrance on the left is the laundry room. The house makes a big circle, which is great for running races….

The basement door is across from the laundry room. It’s unfinished and houses the toys a couch, a bunch of storage and the treadmill.

Going upstairs now. The first room at the top is the master bedroom.

And the bathroom:

Darn shaky hand.

Going down the hall are three bedrooms:

Hi Rosie!

Gus’ room is the first one on the left:

Then Porter and Jack’s room:

They got new carpet, since the first weeks after we moved in (three and a half years ago) I spilled a gallon of paint on the floor. Jack picked it out and it matches the other carpet nearly perfectly!

The bathroom is at the end of the hall:

I still love it. And the guest bedroom is next to it (across from the boys’ room).

And here’s the back yard. I love this. My favorite part of the house. Absolute favorite part.

There’s our chairs from Ikea. I love this patio. I love it.

That’s a lot of pictures. I know. I wanted to get the entire house in one post. So I had it on record!

If you have questions about any of the projects or things you see in the photos let me know!

Kirsty

Did you paint your kitchen cabinets, or were they white when you moved in? I’m gearing up to paint our maple cabinets white and I’m going to be using glass knobs similar to yours!

I’d love to see close ups of some of your diy projects…fun things like some of the furniture or decor. Not that you have anything else to do I’m sure! :)

Take a look at the DIY tab at the top. Or check out anything labeled Butterfly Project or White Butterfly Furniture. I have tons of tutorials and lots of photos!

I see that you have a slip-covered sofa. Can you comment on what you like or don’t like about it?
    Beautiful house, thanks for posting.

I love the slip covered sofa! I have the Ektorp from IKEA, and although it’s not the most divine piece of furniture I’ve sat on, it works for us right now. With three boys and two dogs it is so easy to just throw the covers in the wash. They often get dirty immediately after I put them back on, but such is life. To have white you have to be okay with that. We had a microfiber couch and it was awful, stains didn’t wipe away, pen doesn’t come out. I hated it. At this point I wouldn’t spend a ton of money on a really nice slipcovered sofa (PB or RH) because of the kids and dogs. But, that’s just me!
      I love it!
