Look at these boys. Look at them! They are growing up so quickly, it’s just killing me.

Porter. Age 6. 5K (all day kindergarten). Hasn’t cut his hair since…I don’t remember. He refuses to cut it until at least the day before the last day of school (his words). Although, if he doesn’t cut it, I won’t mind. I think it’s adorable. He has green eyes, potatoes in his ears, loves riding his bike and has yet to lose a tooth. He’s a lefty and loves pizza. And, he learned to read this year. It’s magical.

Jack. Age 5. (As of April 6). 4K (half day kindergarten for 4 and 5 year olds, just like pre-school). He loves the color orange and hates the color pink. His favorite food is any swine product. He has a deviated septum and can only breathe out of one nostril. He recently mastered all his uppercase letters and is working on his lowercase so he can go to Chucky Cheese’s. He loves riding his chopper bike, he lines up his stuffed animals at bed, and we call him squirrel boy because he collects trinkets. I just found him in his bed with a stick from the yard.

Gus. Age 2.11 (He turns 3 on the 29th of May). He likes to be called Auggie, or August or Guster, not Gussy. His favorite food is Mac n’ cheese. He loves all fruit and eats avocados on a spoon. He rides his bike without pedals or training wheels and keeps up with the big kids. He rides the lawn mower and refuses to let anyone help him buckle up. His eyes are dreamy and when you look into them, you can see his soul.

These boys sometimes drive me batty, bonkers, insane in the membrane. But man, do I love them more than anything in the world.

  1. They are just adorable beyond words! My oldest is also on a haircut strike until school gets out, only his isn’t getting longer, it’s just getting bigger and thicker and harder to comb. His b-day is also 5/29!! He’s having a backyard camp out party with a few of his friends and I’m going to attempt to make s’mores cupcakes. When do you find out if you have a female child in your belly? I’m on pins and needles! My grandma, btw, had 9 boys. CAN YOU IMAGINE!?!?! That woman must be in heaven. Love to you friend!

  2. They all look alike, but so different!
